Payton is from Fort Mill, South Carolina and served as Miss Richland County 2021 in the Miss America Organization, where she placed top 15 at the Miss South Carolina competition. She grew up in competition dance, was on school dance teams, won national championships (both solo and group), and attended the Rockette's Summer Intensive in New York City. She is wanting to continue her pageant career, chasing dreams of state and national titles, and break into the modeling industry, specifically in formalwear, and is willing to travel for modeling opportunities.
